Bon Bon's - Thorntons Arcade Leeds

Bon Bon's Thorntons Arcade Leeds

I took this photo after visiting this really nice shop in Thorntons Arcade in the heart of Leeds.

Bon Bon's sells handmade Belgian chocolates and I can tell you they looked great, as nice as any I have seen anywhere.

Candied Orange Chocolate covered

It is owned by someone called Rowntree and one of the assistants said that yes they were related to that family well known in England for producing Smarties (these are now produced by Nestlé)

Do not forget what day the 14th is...

  1. I remember the 14th is.... a Saturday. I love Bon Bons, the chocolate is lovely and the staff are always really friendly. The shop is like a little magical Aladdin's cave. Worth a visit.

  2. Bon Bons downunder are what you would call in the UK Christmas Crackers. Looks like a lot of "LOVE" has been put into the display window. When I look at this photo I feel very nostalgic. Would the 14th have anything to do with LOVE? Linda

  4. I love Bob Bons, they have wonderful "goodies" and it does not matter if they are related to Rowntree! Sheer bliss! Ciao. A.

  5. That's interesting. Rowntree's factory was is in York - now taken over by Nestle as you say. I didn't know any of the family were still in the chocolate business!
