Henry Moore Statue Leeds Art Gallery

The photograph above shows one of the most well known public statues in Leeds city centre. This Henry Moore statue of a reclining woman sits outside Leeds city art gallery next to the The Henry Moore Institute, Leeds which is a centre dedicated to the public display and study of sculpture.

In the background of this picture you can see the clock on Leeds town hall and next to that Leeds central public library.

Henry Moore (30 July 1898 – 31 August 1986) was a Yorkshire born artist and sculptor.

  1. I like the angle you used in this shot. It appears as though she is looking over to check the time on the clock tower!

  2. A clean-lined modern sculpture in front of fabulous old buildings. Love this.
