Hide and Seek at 11 Weeks Old

Border Collie Puppy Yorkshire

I was walking to a friends house (I need the excercise and like the fresh air) when I spotted this pup also taking the air with her mistress.

She is a border collie puppy called Whitney and she is very cute. I asked the owner if I could get some photographs and the dog thinking this was a great game decided to hide in the hedge. Lucky for me Whitney was not very good at hiding and I like this photo.

Traditionally border collies are a breed of working dog used here in the North of England and elsewhere as sheep dogs by farmers. They are widely considered to be the most intelligent breed of dog in the world. They do not always make an ideal pet because they need lots of excersise and play daily. Border Collies can be motion-sensitive and may attempt to control the movements of family members, cats, bicycles, cars, or anything else that moves if not given enough mental and physical stimulation.

So if you have lots of kids that tend to wander off this could be the right breed of dog for you.

  1. Excellent photo. Much nicer this way than posed on a pedestal. She is a sweet looking dog to be sure.

  2. Whitney must be camera shy. And yes, she looks adorable. She reminds me of the cover on the book A Home for Rose!

Thanks for visiting Norwich Daily Photo and leaving your comment. Come back tomorrow!
