Statue of Evening by Alfred Drury in City Square Leeds

Evening Statue Leeds City Square Alfred Drury

Another photograph from my project of Leeds photography can be seen above, I would like to get images of every major and many minor structures in Leeds city centre.

This photograph show a bronze statue of Evening in the form of a lampholder by sculptor Alfred Drury (1856 - 1944). There are 8 of these statues in City Square, Leeds consisting of 2 designs Morning and Evening, with 4 statues of each.

These girls I think are the most beautiful statues in Leeds city centre. I have long admired them and see them often, because they are just across from the main entrance to Leeds city train station.

In the background of this photograph is a building I posted about earlier you can see another view of the City Square Building here.
