Golden Guernsey Goats at Home Farm Temple Newsam

Golden guernsey Goats Temple Newsam Home Farm Leeds

One of the real joys of living in or near the city of Leeds in West Yorkshire is that within a few miles of the city is the Home Farm at Temple Newsam, Leeds.

Home Farm is a Rare Breeds centre where visitors to the farm can get up close and personal with traditional farm animals.

The photograph today shows 3 goats of a rare breed of goat from the Bailiwick of Guernsey on the Channel Islands, The Golden Guernsey. The Golden Guernsey is a very pretty goat and if these examples are anything to go by, very friendly.

  1. Being call an old goat myself, sometimes in humor, sometimes not, I just like goats but I don't like to drink just milked nanny goat milk on dry cereal. Did that during the war and lost my taste for cereal and goat milk.

Audrey is on Pick a Peck of Pixels. You saw her with green peas all over her face. Now, see her at 9 with her hair blowing in the wind. Be part of history. Become a Follower or leave a comment. Tell you friends. Link up. Pick a Peck of Pixels

  2. Up close and personal with animals is always fun. Although my flickr friend Jim had a few problems with Scottish Highland cattle when we were out shooting yesterday.
