This statue of a reclining woman in bronze by the renowned Yorkshire sculptor Henry Moore is outside the Leeds city art gallery.
This large scale work of art is titled Reclining Woman: Elbow 1981 and is by the entrance to the extension dedicated to the work of Henry Moore at the city art gallery on Victoria Gardens here in Leeds city centre.
In the background of the picture you can see the clock tower of Leeds town hall.

A wonderful sculpture in front of some impressive buildings!
ReplyDeleteAny city with a Henry Moore is fortunate indeed. Vancouver has one.
ReplyDeleteI just love his work. really nice.
ReplyDeleteYou caught a wonderfully dramatic angle, and I love the shine on the sculpture. I didn't know HM was from Leeds.
