This picture shows a view of the walkway to Skipton Woods when the snow came to Yorkshire this week.
On the left of the photograph can be seen part of the walls of Skipton Castle and on the right is a small waterfall I think from the overflow the the millpond. This then flows into Eller beck and on the other side of the walkway is the Springs canal a short branch of the Leeds - Liverpool canal, on this day it was frozen over.
Many people who visit the market town of Skipton never discover Skipton Woods, which whilst not large are really quite beautiful depending on the day and the season. This woods are owned by Skipton Castle but are now leased to the Woodland Trust. The entrance to the path to Skipton woods is opposite the famous pork pie shop and adjacent to the old corn mill.

That is such a beautiful winter scene Paul!
