
This stone lion outside the Town Hall in the city of Leeds is one of four that are at the top of the steps outside the main entrance.
Although they are now showing their age with some weathering I think they are quite regal and I can see why the city fathers thought that they would add something to this large civic building. As can be seen from the photograph on this afternoon the recent heavy snowfall is still here.
The building with the cross in the background is the Oxford Place Methodist Church next to the Town Hall.

Looking still regal but a little forlorn.
