Yesterday afternoon I visited All Souls church on Blackman Lane, the church was open as part of Treasures Revealed.
On leaving All Souls there was the sound of a large helicopter nearby and after a short while the were two Merlin HC3 helicopters circling above the Woodhouse Lane area of the city. Because of the buildings and the trees where I was stood I only got a few photos of one of the two.
Whilst we often see the air ambulance and the police helicopter above the city I cannot recall seeing any large military helicopter above the city other than flying high in transit.
