City Centre Mushrooms

Leeds MushroomsPicture of mushrooms growing wild in Leeds city centre.

Travel into Leeds city centre this morning by bus I was glancing out the window when I noticed some mushrooms growing in a small patch of grass next to Leeds town hall.

These mushrooms are part of a small fairy ring in the small garden of the Oxford Place Methodist Church. I was lucky to be there between showers, not being keen to lie on soaking wet grass. Yes, here in Leeds it rained again today.

For the right photo I would happily lie on very wet grass but this was not the time.

  1. Beautiful shot Paul! I've been seeing quite a few mushrooms here lately too because of all the rain.

  2. I love catching sight of mushrooms growing any old where, this is a great capture! (Hopefully a much less sodden day will soon arrive).
