Leeds Skyline

Leeds Skyline CloudsPicture of Leeds from some distance.

This was the view looking towards Leeds city centre from some distance up in Armley today around lunchtime. The sky was totally overcast and the light was pretty dull.

On the left in the above picture is the Parkinson building at the University of Leeds and on the right is the town hall. There are quite a few other Leeds landmarks but I would pick a day with better visibility before going into more detail.

Later during the afternoon it rained, again and by the end of the afternoon it was quite bright but with dark rain clouds.

I have tweaked this photograph of Leeds, in its natural state it was less dramatic and indeed duller.

  1. It is beautiful and atmospheric. It must have been a good foundation photo as no amount of tweaking can save a bad photo to begin with!

  3. Fantastic! This I would choose for a book cover if I were to write a book with a "city" theme.

  4. A fine bit of tweaking, would probably look good in B/W too?
