I do love peering into these old churches, more so in the UK than in the States for some reason (the UK churches always seemed a bit more interesting somehow). This one makes me think of old churches I saw earlier this year in Warwickshire.
ReplyDelete(I think that mystery tree is a hybrid variety of horse chestnut and buckeye tree called "Fort McNair red horse-chestnut" - it took a few more google tries to find out :)
Seems like it was a beautiful sunny day with blue skies. The overgrown-ness of the church yard only makes it more atmospheric, I think. But you're right, some sheep or goats would be good there, too.
