The Monet Garden Roundhay

Monet Garden Roundhay LeedsPicture of The Monet Garden Roundhay Park, Leeds.

To get to the memorial park bench in Roundhay Park in yesterdays post I walked through The Monet Garden here in the park.

The Monet Garden in the park which has been here since 1999 is based on the gardens of impressionist painter Claude Monet at his home at Giverny, France.

This garden is one of several specialist gardens here in this section of Roundhay Park adjacent to Mansion Lane, Roundhay, Leeds.

Even now in the Autumn this garden is still rather beautiful with plenty of flowers, although some are past their best.  This garden is based on the pathway at Giverny from Monet's garden gate to the house.

  1. Didn't realise this garden was here Paul, still has some lovely colour even in October.

  4. How beautiful, I love it's mix of well-tended with a touch of wild - especially lovely that it's not overly manicured.
