Oddly when I mentioned the images being used to someone I know, he said "well its in the public domain", now you should know this guy earns his living by a picture framing business that he owns and runs. By that thought anything on a shelf in the supermarket could be thought of as being in the public domain.
Google image search is just an index of images found on the net, Google does not own or have any rights over these images and neither do users of Google, Bing, Yahoo or any other search tool.
Should I find any of my Leeds and Yorkshire photographs on any commercial website that have not been licensed by me I will send an invoice for such use.
